6mm okoume plywood | Okoume, Sheet material
Description
Okoume plywood consists of multiple veneer layers glued together with waterproof adhesive. As a result, Okoume panels are lightweight, strong, and, thanks to the waterproof adhesive, also suitable for outdoor use or in humid areas.
Okoume plywood is standardly available from us in thicknesses of 4 and 6 mm; thicker sheets are difficult to get through.
Due to the stronger adhesive between the veneer layers, we have to cut okoume with a lot of power, which will cause the cut edges to bleed black. This can be resolved by wiping it with a cloth.
Are you looking for a weather-resistant material? Then okoume is a perfect material. If there are engravings applied to the material, a coat of varnish is necessary to keep the engraving clearly visible.
