Description
2mm MDFMedium Density Fibreboard is strong and economical sheet material and is very suitable for laser cutting.
MDF is made from a combination of dried wood fibers and glue. Due to the dense and even distribution of the fibers, it is easy to work with a laser cutter, as well as with saws, routers, drills, etc. Because of its dense structure, MDF is relatively heavy, but on the other hand, it is also very stiff, strong, has high bending strength, and no grain. This makes the material equally strong in all directions.
Because a sheet of MDF consists of dried wood fibers and glue, it cannot withstand moisture (water) well and is not suitable for outdoor use.
