Greed
Many have tried, but since Captain Greed's death, no one has ever managed to open the chest's lock. The code proved too difficult to crack. Only a worthy pirate with a hunger for gold can open the chest, and thus, the captain's last treasure reignites a new fire of greed in everyone who seeks it.
Dearest finder, Crack the code and let this treasure be the start of your fortune. But beware, Greed lurks!
This puzzle is Kraeck's first. A fantastic gift to receive, but also to give. After use, you can put your own treasure in the chest, reattach the lock, and pass it on to the next treasure hunter. How do you do that? You can read about it here.
‘Captain Greed's Last Treasure’ can be played alone or in a group of up to 4 people, ages 14 and up. With a little help from adults, it can also be played with younger players. A good puzzler will need about one to one and a half hours to crack the code. Together, it might be a little faster.
Supplied without the gun, rum, and gold coins shown in the photo.
Arrogance
Professor Hoogmoed was a female scholar in the early 18th century. Her invention, intended to save the world from gold fever, proved to be her own downfall. Her pride led her to the stake, bringing her good intentions to a gruesome end. Before she was arrested on suspicion of witchcraft, she managed to hide her discovery in this book, only to be opened by a kraecker with a golden heart.
This puzzle is the second by Kraeck. A fantastic gift to receive, but also to pass on. After use, you can put your own treasure in the chest, put the lock back on, and pass it on to the next puzzler. How to do that? You can read it here.
