For the production of the serving board, only walnut wood was used, and the shape and grain of the walnut tree have been preserved. This makes every serving board unique. Walnut is also called okkerhout. There are various varieties, including white walnut and black walnut. It is a deciduous tree that loses its leaves in winter. As the tree gets older, the gray trunk will develop bark with deep grooves.
